Woah...Buenos Aires had a bright Sim #7 at 4-2. It was the first winning Sim in weeks and included a sweep of Cairo in a wild series. The bullpen is wobbly, but the rotation remains stellar. The offense was actually passable this Sim, but not nearly enough. How bad is it? Check this out...and the GBC seems to have outlawed trades so I can only go to FA market and that doesn't work well. At all.

Cairo 4-3 W
Cairo 4-3 W
After a long road trip the Brisas got to play at home this series. And what a series it was! In the first contest in the series Cairo tied the ballgame in the 8th inning and eventually that would lead to extras. P Deron Alexander pitched an excellent game allowing only 3 hits and 1 run in 5 innings. Cairo scored first with one run and then followed that with another in the 8th. The game was tied at 2 and headed to extra innings. In the 12th, C Miguel Hernández sealed a victory with a 3-run HR in the bottom of the 12th. The next two games were pitching duels and the Brisas took them both by one run. In the first, Cairo scored 3 in the 7th but it wasn't enough. In the finale, starter António Ramírez was just good enough allowing 3 runs over 5 innings and the Brisas managed to sweep Cairo.

Another pitchers' duel in the first game as Brisas SP Carudarsana Sambandan following star SP Marvin 'Groucho' Winston's excellent start. Winston allowed 2 runs but only one was earned then Sambandan shutout Athens for 2.1 innings, but the 2 runs were more than the Brisas could muster and Athens took the first game of the series. The middle game saw Athens push across 3 runs, all coming in the 3rd, only for the Brisas to answer with a 4-run 7th. In the rubber match, it looked we had a high scoring affair as Athens pushed across 2 runs in the 1st, but the Brisas answer with one run in the 1st, another in the 2nd, and 2 in the 3rd. The Centaurs worked the score with 1 in the 5th and 2 in the 6th and they made it stand to win the last contest in the series.
