Tripoli pawned off O-min Paek and Jose Guzman onto the Hammers roster(s). Paek, obviously, is a tremendous fielder at many positions, which gives him some value. He can't hit, but if the rest of your team can hit, it might not hurt to keep Paek, a Paul Janish clone, in one's lineup. Who knows? Maybe he will have a career year and hit .250 with a .600 OPS. Guzman is a developing #4/5 starter for an UMEBA team.
Tripoli just added depth and a veteran presence to their rotation. Pancho and Bailey both seem annoyed by the deal, but much like the residents of Tripoli, Dug Riddler doesn't seem bothered by their lack of enthusiasm.
In the end, I like addition of depth at both positions and it gets my first trade out of the way. Late jump into the pre-season, but there may still be time for some roster massaging.
