Another mostly positive Sim and another with close outcomes. When you are used to 1-5 or 2-4, a .500 Sim is a quick breath of relief. *sniffs* Aaaahhhhhhh... The Brisas' offense is starting to have a least a little bite and the pitching & defense remain strong. The offense will also get a boost as players return from what was a loaded IL. It's also worth noting that the Brisas pyth is -5 which means the team is losing close games. And this pitching staff has recently kept the Brisas from getting blown out which means a lot of close games.

Tokyo 3-5 L

Buenos Aires had won only one series this year, and that coming just the previous week, when they welcomed Tokyo to town. The series began with a brilliant turn on the mound from 31yo P Marvin Winston allowing only 1 hit run in 6 innings. He was followed by 25yo P David bin Adnan who wrapped up the shutout with 3 innings allowing only 2 hits and issuing a walk. The next game was put in the hands of 29yo Bani Marita who stumbled right away allowing 3 runs in 4 innings. The offense would pick him up from the (admittedly small) hole and send the fans home happy. The Brisas hit no home runs in the 5-3 victory but 4 players delivered doubles, which works. Buenos Aires came into the final game knowing they'd wrapped up their 2nd series win of the year. But it was Tokyo that started hot scoring 3 runs in the 1st. SP Richard Balgera didn't allow any more runs through the 6th inning, but the damage was done.

@ Sydney 4-3 W
@ Sydney 1-3 L
@ Sydney 6-9 L

Having just barely missing a sweep of an opponent, the Brisas headed to Australia looking for more success. They took the first game going up 2-0 and holding the Sharks scoreless from there in a 4-3 victory. Another close game the next night and Beunos Aires dropped one again. 30yo SP Deron Alexander allowed a single run in the 2nd, 4th, and 5th innings. The offense came up lame, however, so another close one slipped away. The rubber game of the series would prove fun...well, if you're a Sharks fan. Buenos Aires owned a 5-run lead going into the bottom half of the 7th inning. Wilson pitched more shutout baseball for 6 innings, but he found trouble with the final out of the inning as 5 runs came across the plate. The final blow was a walkoff 3-run HR by the Sharks leftfielder 24yo Milojica Kraljevic off Brisas' closer 31yo You-cheng Hang.
