Buenos Aires Brisas 37 55 .402 20 GB L10: 3-7 Strk: W2
And the Brisas emerge from the All-Star break on a 2-game win streak! Sim #16 was actually not to bad with the squad splitting 4 games. The last 2 wins of the Sim put the Brisas in shape to take a 4-game at home from Sao Paulo.
@Tokyo: L 2-4
The Pearls got 2 runs in the 2nd and 4th innings and pretty much cruised from there. Brisas starter Aurelio Pérez just could not find the strike zone tossing 26 pitches out of the zone on 80 total.
Sao Paulo: L 3-8
Sao Paulo: W 6-4
Sao Paulo: W 10-5
Sao Paulo came to Argentina mad for some reason as they piled a 4-run 1st on the Brisas in the opener. No BAU player recorded more than one hit the entire contest. In Game 2 Sao Paulo did it again as they enjoyed a 3-run 1st. Things cruised along, too, with the Pilots up 4-2 after 7. But the Brisas bats finally got unlocked and a 4-run 8th gave Buenos Aires the victory. There were more outbursts in Game 3 with the Brisas capping 3 and 4 in the 7th and 8th innings.
