2063.7 Charlotte opens the season with Six Man Rotation

Post by Krathan » Sun May 25, 2025 1:43 pm

The Charlotte Flyers will open the season with a somewhat unconventional approach to their starting rotation. They will have 6 different pitchers starting the first 6 games of the season, 3 in Cobble Hill and 3 at home against Montreal.

Bob Anderson, acquired at last year's trade deadline, will be the nod on opening day despite struggling a bit in Spring Training.

Buwono Mainaky will start game 2 as the veteran right hander begins his 7th season in a Charlotte uniform. He is coming off of an All-Star campaign in 2062.

Logan Hill will start the finale in Cobble Hill. The veteran southpaw had a rough Spring after being acquired through free agency in the offseason, but he is coming off of a solid season for in-state rivals, the Swamp Foxes.

Arturo Trevino will start the home opener against the Blazers after pitching well in 20 games, 15 starts with Charlotte after arriving via trade last season.

Game 5 will see Ignacio Lewis get the start, coming off of a strong rookie campaign. Lewis actually hit the ball very well during Spring Training and may be the team’s top center field back up to open the season.

The final game of the opening week will be started by Felipe Cummings. The promising youngster struggled in 2062 but was phenomenal this Spring, with a 0.57 ERA, earning a chance to join the rotation to open the season.
