2063.5 Dev Lab Tracker Part 1: Short Programs

The Charlotte Flyers are once again utilizing their development lab as they try to guide their players and prospects toward future success.

Domingo Chavez is coming off of a stellar rookie campaign. He is working on his infield defense in the team's dev lab. The early results have been positive but time will tell whether or not he is able to get any true growth out of the program.

Bharti Senagala is also in the dev lab working on his infield defense. The versatile utility man is trying to become more proficient in the various defensive roles he can fill. Early results indicated that Senagala was frustrated in his attempt to build his infield skills but there is still time for him to grow and possibly find success.

Wani Matos had a strong rookie campaign in 2062, playing in 83 games and slashing .313/.357/.457, with a wRC+ of 121 and 1.5 WAR. He played first base, second base, and third base, with his main role being at the hot corner when Jacquot Natta was pitching. Matos is in the dev lab working on his infield defense. He struggled a bit at second and it would be nice to have him be a little more versatile. Matos has really struggled in the early parts of his dev lab program. Hopefully he can keep from coming out of it worse off than he entered.

Tommy Anderson spent 20062 in New Bern, playing for the AA Bears. He is close to reaching his offensive potential and has some good defensive ratings with 9 infield range, 7 arm, and 7 turn DP. However, his 5 error rating helps keep his overall SS rating at 6. He is working on his infield defense in the dev lab to try to improve that just a bit. He did finish the 2062 AA season with a SS ZR of 18.75 and an Eff. of 1.087 but the BBA is different than AA. Early reports indicate that Anderson is not quite on pace to see the desired growth but there is still time for that to change.
