Nathan Garrison stood at the head of the conference table and addressed his team, including Ivan Correa, Madeline Downs, and Frederick Abbottson.

"This division race just got even more interesting than it was before. Charm City just traded for Lucio Guevara and Joe Shaw. Montreal just added Umar Dogar."

Abbottson responded. "Those are some big deals. I like what we've done so far, picking up Brody Picot, Arturo Trevino, Luis Perez, and Eduardo Moreno, but these deals make me wonder if it's enough."

Garrison continued. "That's where I am too. We've got a really good team that we've already improved quite a bit but until the deadline officially comes I think we need to at least explore options to improve even more."

Correa added a thought. "We don't know enough about our new bullpen yet. I think it's going to settle in pretty well."

Downs said "I agree with that. I do think pitching is the area we might address though. Our offense is solid."

Garrison replied. "Right. I think the whole team is solid but we've scored the most runs in the league and have the second highest OPS to go with that. Pitching is where we could consider an addition. Let's get on the phones."
