2062.44 Sim 12 Review

Post by Krathan » Sun Mar 09, 2025 11:28 am

The Flyers offense was on fire this sim, with 7 starters who hit at least .316. Jacquot Natta led the way with 13 hits in 27 plate appearances with 2 home runs and 8 RBI. Domingo Chavez and Jorge Trujillo each added 9 RBI. Charlotte scored 57 runs in 6 games, scoring double digits 3 times.

The pitching was more inconsistent but did enough to help the Flyers win 4 of 6 games this week. Ignacio Lewis, Antonio Santiago, and Brody Picot didn't have great starts but Natta and Buwono Mainaky both pitched well. The bullpen was a bit up and down as well.

Mainaky was particularly impressive, starting twice, and allowing 3 runs in 13.1 innings to earn 2 wins.

The game that stood out the most this week was game 3 of the series against Phoenix.

The game was 4-3 Charlotte after 1 inning.
It was 7-7 after 2 innings.
The Flyers led 12-10 after 3 innings.
Neither team scored in the 4th inning.
Phoenix took the lead 15-12 in the 5th inning.
The Talons added another in the 7th to make it 16-12.
Charlotte made it 16-13 in the 8th.
Phoenix held on for a 16-13 win.

The Flyers had 21 hits in the game to the Talons 19.
The teams combined for 7 doubles and 7 home runs in the contest.
Both starting pitchers, Antonio Santiago for Charlotte and Waseem bin Suhayb for Phoenix, allowed 7 runs in 1.2 innings.
53,085 fans showed up to watch the wild slugfest.
