"Thank God July is over!" shouted manager Walt Whitworth as he addressed his team following Sunday's 10-6 extra inning win against the Jacksonville Zombies. "These last couple of months have not been kind to us but now we're ready to rise from the ashes and finish this season strong!"

Injured star and team captain Jacquot Natta stood up in the back of the room and added to the sentiment. "I've seen how hard you guys have worked through the adversity. Walt's right. It's our time now. The way you took care of business against a tough Montreal team shows me you've found it again. The team who tore through the league in May is ready to do it again!"

The players started to call out in agreement as the coaching staff told them to hit the showers. The media would be entering soon.

Several of the reporters who were in the clubhouse that evening said that the team felt different than they had the previous few weeks. They seemed more optimistic, more confident.

Perhaps the Flyers really have turned things around. The season is moving toward its conclusion and the team is running out of time for the type of play they demonstrated in June and July. With Atlantic City playing well lately,and the Flyers currently sitting one game out of the final wildcard spot, Charlotte can't afford to put forth less than their best the rest of the way.
