Pilot Light #7 - New Manger Steps In

The Sao Paulo Pilots held a news conference today to introduce their new general manager Terry Kift. Kift brings in to the team many years of experience and hopes to bring the Pilots back to the playoffs that they haven't seen since 2051 with only one season finishing above .500 since 2051.

"That's the first goal," said Kift. "Get the team back above .500 and make them feel like they are progressing."

When asked about the first steps he will be taking, Kift replied, "First off, this is the third oldest team in the league and we need to search out younger players. Second, all of our staff, except for one, have contracts that end at the end of the season. This is a chance for me to hand-pick my staff and teach the younger players to play their best. Third, I know Hashimoto wants to test out free agency and keeping him with the team will be the first challenge for us."

The owner of the pilots, Abdul-Hadi Masruq, offers his full support to Kift. "We had a long talk before hiring him and we are in agreement as to what need to be done to return to the playoffs."
