Trade details:
The Mexico City Aztecs have traded reliever Octávio Gallardo to the Valencia Stars. Gallardo has the ratings but just couldn't put it all together on the mound inside the dome.
Prospect Will Upham was also sent in the deal.
In return the Aztecs receive former 4th round pick Ramón López and $750,000. Lopez is a 6'3" left-handed starting pitcher from Evans, Ga. He is a natural leader and should gel with the clubhouse well. He joins the recently acquired Gary Hochstetler in the starting rotation for the Council Bluffs Express (A)
