Hawaii DH John Harris crushed two homers and drives in four runs then the Tropics bullpen throws three hitless, scoreless innings to secure the win.
Harris was 3 for 4 with a solo homer (11) in the 4th inning and a three-run shot (12) in the 6th inning. CF Carlos Sanchez was 2 for 4, scored a run and had an RBI.
On the mound, Kinzo Iwamoto allowed three runs on six hits and two walks while fanning six batters in six innings. He was relieved by Marty Pearce who threw a hitless, scoreless inning. Gheorghe Sollomovici earned the two inning save issuing a walk with a K.

The Tropics and Nine play a 2-2 tie through 11 innings then Carlos Shumann connected with a fastball that went out in left field that scored two. Bob Westbrooks recorded the 1st out of the home half of the 12th then Jesus Rios nailed down the win for his 1st save this season. Schumann was 3 for 5, HR (7), scored a run and drove in three.
The game was started by Martin ‘Lumps’ Garcia who threw 76 pitches in 6.1 innings allowing two runs on six hits. He struck out six in the no decision. Westbrooks earned the win with two scoreless innings giving up a hit, walked two and struck out one.

Carlos Sanchez hits his 14th homer and rookie Jorge Dodd drives in two runs to lead the Trops to a win. Sanchez was 2 for 4 with a two-run blast (14) in the 8th and an RBI ground out to drive in three runs on the day. Dodd was 3 for 4 and two ribbies.
Niegloslaw Woywitka joined the 10-win club this season with 6.1 one-run innings. He gave up five hits, walked two and struck out four. Utkan Gocek pitched two scoreless innings giving up a hit and issued a walk.

Hawaii’s Eric Owens doubles in a run and homers to lead the Tropics to a series sweep. Owens was 2 for 3 with a walk, a double (25), a two-run homer (21), scored two runs and drove in three. Vincente Mendez assisted Owens going 2 for 3 with a walk and an RBI.
Semih Gurani made the start pitching five innings and allowing three runs on four hits and three walks. He struck out three in a no decision. ‘Crawdad Me’ pitched two scoreless innings to earn his 4th win of the season. He allowed two hits and struck out two batters. Gheorghe Sollomovici pitched a scoreless innings giving up two hits, walked one and had two Ks. Bob Westbrooks pitched a clean 9th for his 5th save.
The Trops sweep the four-game series and takes the season series 7-1.
