Please, just let June end. Four more days with 2 likely losses tacked on to what has already been an 8-16 month. Sim #13 (recap) was expected to be rough and it was at that. How about getting swept in 2 4-game series before ever setting foot in Charm City? No real bright spots as pitching allowed 6 runs/game and the Spuds could only score 4 (not that any offense could ever cover for a pitching performance that bad). There is just no help for this staff/bullpen and the offense, while we're at it, had robot amnesia in the offseason as they can't even score being placed in the exact same lineups as 2060.

The win over Atlantic City was delivered on the back of SP Muneer bin Khairy who has had a mix of starts and relief appearances his entire career in Boise. On the 25th he took the bump and allowed just 2 runs in 6.1 innings on 4 hits. He did walk 4 but struck out 6. CL Mario Santos was hit or miss but he did convert 2 save opps only got saddled with a loss, too, in 3 games. We'll got with Guzmán who can be extra effective at times. He made 3 appearances also in Sim #13 grabbing a win but dropping a save opp. He pitched 4 innings allowing just 1 run, a solo HR, and fanned 6 hitters.

The good news? There were some good performances in Sim #13. The bad news? 4 players were responsible for all but 4 runs in Sim #13. Yikes. RF Martin Hemming is rewarding the trust manager Mario Contreras is showing letting him hit lefties, too. He posted 2 doubles and 2 HRs in the Sim with 3 RBI. And 1B Trace Allison is really coming into his own this year. In Sim #13 he collected 5 RBI on 2 HR. So did the "Spuds Good Story" 3B Bill Kuhn. But staying up to join the pity party was the newly minted 'Pocket Rocket'. He slashed .364/.364/.818 and delivered 5 RBIs of his own on 2 doubles and 1 HR.
