Strolz has played almost 1,000 games in left field but has been stationed mainly at DH this season. He has started 16 game sin left but otherwise he has been taking the bench when the team is out in the field. It isn’t known how much of a difference this has made on his production at the plate but he is extremely happy with great morale.
In 90 games Strolz is slashing .382/23/75 and has stolen 14 bases. He is posting a 4.9 WAR in the first half of the season which is approaching his career high of 5.1 from his 2050 season in the GBC. He leads the league in batting average, RBI’s, slugging, OPS, wRC+ and WAR. His 23 homers over the first half of the season is approaching his season high of 24 homers from last season. While his career average of .328 has provided some evidence that his .382 rate could be somewhat sustainable it is unlikely that he will maintain that number over the course of an entire season. He was on a hot streak for most of the first half and has since dropped a few points and is currently not on a streak according to the OOTP engine.
One unique fact about Strolz is that he is one of the few players who has had All Star appearances in 3 separate leagues. He was an International Finishing Consortium all star in 2045, a Unified Middle East all star in 2048, 2049 and 2050 and a BBA all star in 2058. The 32 year old has finally hit his stride and is playing at the highest level.
