The Stars played there last two games and split them and ended up the season with 96 wins for 1st place with the California Crusaders a close 3 games behind...The Stars will open the playoffs vs the Washington Bobwhites who had 95 wins this year and both teams look very close...The Stars pitching looks very soild but so does the Bobwhites...The Stars ended up number 1 in all pitching catergories except Strikeouts which they were in 3rd overall...The Stars team era was 2.46 vs the Bobwhites 3.54..The starters for the Stars had a low 2.35 era vs the Bobwhites 3.39 era..The pen for the Stars was 2.92 vs the Bobwhites of 3.96 era...The Stars brought back from the DL SP Ricky Jamaica 13-8 3.25 era, who went out due to shoulder tendinitis and missed 4 weeks...Jamaica is on the roster but wont be able to pitch for 5 days...Starting game one will be vet SP Nate Hollins 15-15 2.17 as Devon Hyngarywill start game 2 as he is not fully rested for game one....The number 3 starter for the series will be Joshua Francis Kellogg 14-5 2.04..SP Phil Leftwich will start game 4 and game 5 will be eith Jamaica or Hollins again....This should be a very close series... :eek2:
