Info for the new Guys/Downloading the File
I think we have at least one GM who hasn't played online before. With that in mind, when downloading it's normal for the file to appear to hang at "100% Closing" for awhile (for me it's usually 5-10 minutes). Just wait. It will eventually finish. I think it has something to do with how long we've been running. I know at least a few of the other GM's (including myself) deal with this. My question is, is there anyone that this doesn't happen for? Also, do those of you in other OOTP leagues have this happen?

Mine is pretty quick. Takes only 3-4 minutes total. Usually the longest part is around 32 or 36%. Longest I've spent at 100% that I've noticed is about 20-25 sec.

Re: Info for the new Guys/Downloading the File
I actually have no idea how long mine takes. I usually start it and either ALT-TAB to another window for awhile or do stuff around the house and just check bsck whenever I have time to actually do my export stuff. I have noticed that mine will go from 0% to 4% and sit there for a bit, but haven't seen anything else weird.

Really matters how fast your download speeds are. Since adding a wifi extender, I have seen download times really drop for the league. Before, I had the same issue as Ted and Fred, it would always sit at a certain % (usually around 35-45%) and then sit at 100% for 5-10 minutes. Now, it downloads in less time than it used to sit at 100%.

I wish that was my problem. I'm literally seven feet from my router. I'm gonna guess my problem's just good old armpit of the midwest shitty internet. It's almost worth moving to the coast or at least a major metropolis just to know what real bandwidth is like.udlb58 wrote:Really matters how fast your download speeds are. Well, I'm certainly not on a coast, but we get 75 MB/s with the top offering from the local cable internet. How old is the router? I also upgraded to a newer router when I did that. Before, the router was in the same room and we still got about 30 MB, 50 if directly connected. Installed a new router at the other end of the house and a centrally located extender, doubled the speed.Ted wrote:I wish that was my problem. I'm literally seven feet from my router. Router isn't that old. Three years maybe? I live in a relatively poor part of the downtown of a small midwest city. I'm sure the underlying infrastructure is garbage.udlb58 wrote:Well, I'm certainly not on a coast, but we get 75 MB/s with the top offering from the local cable internet. How old is the router?
