OOTP15 Help

Hey all.

I'm having problems getting the game to load into OOTP15. I have followed the steps exactly but when I try to load MBWBA on OOTP 15 it makes it through and OTTP shows "Please Wait, Intializing Database" and shows 100% then I get a Microsoft Windows error alert "A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available." and the only choice I have to click is Close Program.

I have uninstalled the league file and re-installed and have uninstalled OOTP15 and re-installed, I've done this 3 times and still to no avail. Any suggestions or help?

Umm, maybe turnoff your firewall during installation?

Yeah, I've tried that. I just read last night about trying to re-install using a clean boot. Going to try this tonight, otherwise, short of taking a sledgehammer to my computer and buying a new one I'm not sure what the problem or fix is!!!

I finally heard from an OOTP helpdesk person on Monday morning, he had me try to load the game to a different folder and run it that way, still got the same results. He asked me to turn on trace mode and run the program, did it this morning and emailed him the trace file. Waiting to hear back, the person I am in contact with is real quick to respond so hopefully he will get back with a fix that I can try tonight.

It's pretty aggravating, but at least now I know it's not because I'm an idiot, at least I have the OOTP people stumped too!!

Will I own record for shortest stint as GM? All jokes aside, the OOTP guy seems to have disappeared, I sent him an email yesterday morning to see what the status is and if there is a fix, got nothing. I do know that it's inside the OOTP itself and not league files, I've tried opening quickstart games, etc. and the same thing happens. It's pretty frustrating that the guy seemed on top of things with quick responses and now has disappeared. I will continue to try to get it resolved, and if it does I would like to be part of the league in the future.
