Greeneville, SC --End of an era in Greeneville, veteran slugger Sirius 'Padfoot' Black announced his retirement today.
Black had his best year as a Moonshiner in 2006 where he batted .292, 32 HR with 90 RBI also with .929 OPS.
Black also had his success in Baltimore where he put up 49 HR with 137 RBI during the 2000 season. This is by far his best year in MBBA.

"I have decided. This will be my last year in MBWBA. I played 16 years in this league, and I gave 110% each game I played.
I would like to thank my teammates in Baltimore, the coaching staff, and most importantly the management for believing in me." said Black.

"Last but not the least, I would like to thank everyone in Greeneville for letting me play for their prestigious organization.
Also, I'd like to thank all my teammates here in Greeneville. My last 3 years here in Greeneville has been a blast." Black added.

Some reporters asked what would he do next after his career in baseball, "I don't know yet.
I'll probably spend time with my family and kids, but other than that I'll enjoy life to the fullest." Black replied to the reporters.
He also joked about getting a job in Hollywood, "My dream was to be an actor when I was a kid. I really don't mind doing that after baseball *laughs*".

Sirius Black might be joking when he said that to the reporters, but according to some sources,
an unknown talent agent contacted Black about a role in an upcoming film next year.
Sources said, the film is about wizardry and magic *hint* *hint*.

Sirius Black - one of the best names in MBWBA will be officially retired after 2008 season. Farewell buddy and good luck!

Good stuff... if Bud Weiser and Mike Hunt are allowed then there's nothing wrong with a Sirius Black or 2..

Too bad he wasn't as good in his 20s as he was in his 30s. Looks like one of those guys who falls short of Hall of Fame status.

Yeah. I'll reserve too much comment until I see who he is up against. But <2000 hits, <400 hrs and 1B...looks like an uphill climb.
