Gertie and the BBAs 2nd sexist GM works the phones...

April 12, 2065 - Well slap a parking boot on my optimism, because Carlos Cruz has managed to find yet another creative way to injure himself. This time it’s “biceps tendinitis” — which, near as I can tell, is medical talk for “my arm hurts again and Gertie is tired of this nonsense.”

The kid made it two whole starts. Two! That’s a weekend getaway, not a pitching career. Sure, he’s 1–0, but you know what else he is? On the IL. Again. At this point, I don’t know if he's cut out for the starting five or if we need to wrap him in bubble wrap and roll him out to the mound like fragile cargo.

And joining him on the “Injured & Indecisive” list is his good buddy Rafael Adams, who apparently decided he didn’t want Cruz to suffer alone. Out another week, because why not? Misery loves company, and apparently so do strained muscles.



If these two keep this up, I’m gonna start checking the clubhouse for banana peels, cursed mirrors, or some kind of voodoo doll with terrible posture.

But hey — next arm up, boys. Gertie’s got wolves to feed, and ain’t nobody winning the Heartland from a hospital bed.
