I think previously I said that retired players were in, but I don't think that was true. Anyway, they're in now!
Also, I fixed it so that it doesn't strip dashes from your writing.
Also, I fixed it so that it not only doesn't strip diacritics from player names, but it adds proper diacritics to the name even if they weren't there in the input.

I'm encountering an issue with links not being generated for players with diacritics in their names unless I include them first. For example: Luis Gonzalez and Lucio Juarez AKA Luis González and Lúcio Juárez. This is new.
