Twin Cities not as active next year
I'm kinda going through a lot right now. I've been having a lot of health issues the past two years and my mind is not in a good spot. I need a fresh start. So I quit my job and just rented a townhome in North Carolina. We are moving in on December 26. I still have to sell my house, pack and downsize a little. Once settled, I plan to have the 4 surgeries I need and hopefully get back to normal.
Even though I'll be around, my daughter will be out of daycare in a week and a half and I have like a million things to do. Not sure how active I will be from here till January, which is probably most of next season.

Hopefully four of the easy-peasy, same day, outpatient type surgeries.

Re: Twin Cities not as active next year
Thanks all. The surgeries aren't big. They are laser surgeries to close veins in my legs.
Right now, if I'm on my feet for more than like 6-7 hours, blood pools in my feet, ankles and lower legs and they swell up to the point where I can't walk without crutches and severe pain.
I think trying to push through it for almost 2 years was putting stress on my heart. My overall health got really scary. I was weak, tired and couldn't do simple things. When I googled the warning signs of heart failure and had every one, I was like that's it. Now that I'm not working 10+ hour shifts running around in circles all night, I feel a lot better. All the heart and lung stuff feels better. I just need to take breaks every couple of hours to keep my legs from swelling. I found a doctor already in new location and am going to try to find a new job where I can sit down at least some of the time.

Re: Twin Cities not as active next year
Stay well Alan and take care with the move. When I moved this summer, toward the end of packing I had a day with 30,000+ steps and by the end of the day it felt like my ankles were going to roll over because my feet were so sore. Please don't exert yourself like that, hire a moving crew and get a ton of help packing and unpacking too.
