2064-10 Best batter game score of the year (so far)

Post by Knucklehead254 » Thu Oct 09, 2025 4:08 pm

I saw Montreal highlight Samuel Nebraska's 99 Game Score, and figured I'd check out who had the top score for batters. To my utter surprise, it was a Vancouver Mountie, and it wasn't even one of our starters.

On May 10, 2064, Shortstop Johnny Lazer picked up a game score of 117 at home (the least hitter friendly park in the league) against the Valencia Stars. Let's give a quick recap on how that game went:

It began in the bottom of the third inning. Lazer was leading off the inning against Valencia starter Shiro Takahashi. He quickly fouled off the first two pitches to drop to an 0-2 count before hitting a grounder opposite field towards third. At 96 mph EV, it passed by the third basemen for a lead off single. Zhi Li would get a hit which moved Lazer to third, before Greg Clover then grounded out at first which gave Lazer time to run home and score. It was a great third inning for the Mounties as a whole, as Miller Shed then knocked a two run homer. Then Royce Hinkle singled, followed by Carlos Colón and Sergio Mendoza each drawing a walk to load the bases. Hector Ruiz cleared them with a 3 run double. Then Rhys Atticus struckout, which brought Lazer back to the plate in the third. Now facing reliever Dave Hill, he sent the first pitch opposite field for a two-run homer.

His next at-bat came in the bottom of the 5th inning. With Mendoza on second and two outs, Lazer again faced Hill on the mound... and again sent the first pitch into the stands for another two run homer, his second of the game and third hit of the night.

His final at-bat came in the bottom of the seventh inning. Once again Mendoza was on second base with two outs. Once again he was facing Hill on the mound... and once again he hit a two run homerun, though at least this time it wasn't off the first pitch, it was a 1-1 count.

The Mounties would go on to win 15-5.

Johnny Lazer finished with a stat-line of 4-4, 3 HR, 6 RBI, 4 R, and a game score of 117. Not bad for the former first overall pick.

Poor guy only has 85 at bats this year. You need to trade Oskar Lojdahl to Phoenix for Julio Perez and start Lazer.

I’d consider trading him if he didn’t sneak in a NTC when we discussed extension.
