April 7, 2064 - 22-year-old 1B Antonio Hernandez made the jump from Class A- Lake City this year, but if results are to be trusted, the stay may not be long. Hernandez drilled, who had 23 home runs last year, blasted five of them in the first week of the season, leading the Moops to a 5-1 record out of the gates.
"The man is as dialed-in is as it gets," said Kamloops manager Jeff Rangan earlier this week.

Team insiders suggest that the club had considered jumping Hernandez, who was a 7th-round draft pick in 2062, directly to AAA after he posted a 23-homer, .291/.405/.502 slash in Lake City, but given the team's status in the parent club, didn't feel the need to rush him. "Antonio is going to be a professional hitter whenever he comes up," said GM Ron Collins. "If he bumps his plate discipline, he could wind up as a perennial All-Star. So we don't feel a need to push him too hard."
Insiders wonder, though, exactly how patient is patient, and also ponder the deep philosophical question of when patience is really just stupidity masked as indecision.
