The world has several unexplained phenomena’s, The Great Pyramids of Giza, Loch Ness, Bigfoot, the Bermuda Triangle and crop circles can make room for yet another – The Kinzo Effect.
Going into the evening 18-Jun-2063, the Valencia Stars were riding a 1-15 streak resembling a meteor honing in on humanity in the BBA universe as we know it. At the same time, the Mounties of Vancouver were riding high in the saddle with a June record of 11-5.
Then the trade occurred that sent Kinzo Iwamoto from Vancouver to Valencia. .In the ensuing week, the Valencia team won four times as many games in a week than they did so far in the previous 18 days by going 4-2 on their road against Brook Park and Twin Cities. On the other side of the coin, Vancouver matched their number of losses within a week by going 1-5.
Kinzo was pitching lights out in his Valencia debut by going seven scoreless innings, allowing 3 hits and striking out 10 against Brook Park in a 2-0 victory. In his second outing, Kinzo was bashed for five runs in four innings on 12 hits. However, the Kinzo effect caught hold of the Valencia bats as the Stars scored at will in a 13-7 win over Twin Cities.
While people are not getting their hopes up, fans are excited by the change this week. The momentum spilled over to the rest of the series against the River Monsters with Valencia winning three of the four games. The newly fabricated Kinzo voodoo dolls in his #10 Valencia jersey are selling faster than they can be made.
