The Spuds took care of two home series to kickoff the 2063 season (recap). A 13-run start to the year boosted a Spuds offense that scored a respectable 4.7 runs/game and the defense was superb in allowing just 2.5 R/G.
SPUDS OF THE SIM - SIM #1
Pitcher

SP Josh 'Kid' Clark
2 G, 2 GS, 2-0, 14.2 IP, 1.23 ERA, 6 BB, 13 K, 1.23 WHIP
Mahad 'Furball' Einan had an excellent start to 2063 holding San Antonio to 1 run in 6 innings. Lefty Dan Boman shutout the Outlaws over 5.1 innings of work (though he walked 4...need to get to work on that), reliever Buddhapalita Kankipati made 3 appearances in nailing down the middle innings allowing no hits over 4 IP, and CL Mario Santos converted both of his save opps. But the star, by far, was Clark. He allowed just 2 runs over 6.1 innings, while striking out 9, to open the season then shutout the Rosenblatt Bombers over 8.1 innings allowing just 6 hits. Those kind of numbers can make even Boise GM Ben Teague look like a genius.
Batter

LF Cosmo Pan
6 G, 2 2B, 1 3B, 2 HR, 7 RBI, .360/.360/.760
2B Fernando Segura got off to a solid start for 2063 driving in 4 runs with a double and a HR while slashing .353/.500/.588. 3B Bill Kuhn collected a double and 2 HR, while new Spud CF Amphibian 'The Toad' Johnson introduced himself with 10 hits in the 6-game Sim. 1B Tracy 'Jigga' Allison was perfect in his 4 stolen base attempts. But Pan easily stole the show driving in 7 while recording 2 doubles, a triple, and 2 homeruns.
