Re: BBA Longest Playoff Drought
Sad thing is you've still won a playoff series more recently than this team...

There is something beautiful about Ed's firm hold on this record. I tip my virtual Kernel's cap to him, wherever he is.

Yes. Beating the same dead horse...I blame the cap increase and media unlocking of 2052 for the change.

Re: BBA Longest Playoff Drought
Everytime someone bitches about a lopsided trade I think back to the end of Ed's run. He made a couple of bad looking long-term trades trying to break the streak. Meanwhile he knew something that we didn't.
At the end of the day, this game is not about making the playoffs. It's about having fun, rooting for your players and escaping real world stuff. I wish he could have broke the streak before he passed, but I know he had a lot of fun wearing his Kernels cap and rooting for Bunk and Cisco. And that's all that really matters

Well said, Alan. Glad I got to meet him. We had a great time at a D-Backs game as he was on his quest to visit every baseball park.

guess I hadn't scrolled to the end of the thread in a while. Ed was an awesome guy. Glad I met him in Chicago to catch a White Sox game with Recte.

Re: BBA Longest Playoff Drought
I probably hold the record for longest streak of not making the playoffs as a GM, but at least I don’t have to worry about it.
