Felix Vidaca and the Bikini Krill inch closer to a wild card berth as they dominate the Hawaii Tropics at ‘Iolani Palace. Vidaca gave up just a run on a solo homer and allowed five hits total in the win.
Hawaii starter Barney Lindsey was abused for five runs on eight hits in four innings. He walked four and struck out three as he took his 10th loss of the season.
Luis Estrada was 2 for 2 with a walk and a triple (2) and a solo homer (10).

Niegloslaw Woywitka goes seven strong innings while Jose Ordonez and Jeff Appleton homer as the Tropics even the series with the Krill.
Woywitka gave up a run on four hits and a walk while striking out three as he improves to 9-10. Utkan Gocek came on in the 8th inning and pitched two clean innings with a K to earn his 18th save.
Ordonez was 3 for 4 with a triple (5) and a two-run homer (5). Ordonez scored two runs and drove in two on the day. Appleton was 1 for 3 with a solo blast (15) and a sac fly.

Hawaii’s Semih Gurani and two relievers combine to one-hit the Bikini Krill. Then the Trops offense tallied 7 extra base hits out of their 13 on the day to get the win.
Gurani pitched six, one-hit innings with five Ks to earn his 8th win of the season. Bill Phillips followed up with two scoreless innings with a walk and three Ks. Troy ‘Teddy Bear’ Reynolds ended the game with a scoreless inning with a walk.
John Harris was 2 for 4 with a double (42) and a two-run homer (22). He scored two runs and had three RBI. Eric Owens was 2 for 3 with a walk, a two-run homer (18), scored two runs and drove in three. Carlos Sanchez was 2 for 4 with a double (23) and a two-run blast (11). He scored a run and drove in two runs.

The Tropics walk the line between a win and a loss but ultimately get a win in the final home game of 2061. Gerardo Rea gave up a run on four hits and a walk while fanning three to earn the win. Martin ‘Lumps’ Garcia put up zeroes in two innings of work with a K for his 4th hold. Utkan Gocek almost blew the save allowing two runs on two hits in 1.1 innings. The Teddy Bear came on and finally ended the game for the save.
Mitch Wareham was 1 for 4 with a homer (14) to lead off the game. John Harris was 2 for 3 with a walk, an RBI and scored a run. Eric Owens was 1 for 4 with a triple (2) and scored a run.
Hawaii wins the series 3-1.
