2061.01 - The Beef Talks with Adam "Nasty Boy" Hines (11/03/2060)

On this interminable drive north into Idaho to deliver this beet harvester, the driver - still with a lowercase "d" - continues to listen to The Beef, a sports radio show broadcasting out of Chicago's Southside. The driver tends to perk up whenever The Beef covers the sport of baseball, which is actually quite often even though baseball is in its offseason.

But the driver, who otherwise has no connection whatsoever to Chicago - he's based out of Las Cruces, New Mexico - and follows soccer - he's supported Truro Thursday years before their miraculous promotion - has grown to like this middling team from the Midwest. Or, perhaps more accurately, has grown to like The Beef talk about them. To the driver, it's better than intestinal ephedrine.
