What's there to say? It wasn't a great year. No one was particularly standout. Just about everyone was disappointing to an extent. Our best hitter is batting .258, our best starter pitched 4.86, and traditionally stalwart hitters have suffered. Players earning big paychecks are falling apart, and no one is particularly earning their paycheck.
We can only take solace in the fact that we have the first round pick next season, and we can rebuild from there. A poor start to GM Justin Barker's tenure, which we only hope will improve.
Good Riddance to the Following Players
1B Nicolai Reshetkov - 4mm for a sub-.250 average.
CL Cristobal Aguila - 3mm for a 5.63 ERA
C Will Bennet, 1.1mm for a batting average below the Mendoza line
You will not be missed.
