Surprised we're up so high with Rooney out most of the season so far and 2 up the middle players losing range last winter.

We have a better defense than Nashville that’s all I need!

I knew our defense was overrated. We were #1 early on, but this speaks truer to the facts. My team ranks have also normalized.

It’s interesting that my defense is so bad at line drives when it’s so good at ground balls and fly balls.

And my infield ground ball defense is so much better than last season it’s ridiculous.

I think defense continues to be hard to get a full handle on. There's some interesting things going on in comparing it season over season, too. Which I'll get into sometime soonish.

In all my years as a GM, I've never had a defense as good as this one.
