What Would Be Your Plan For Jose Torres?

With Torres being a very well developed pitcher, how would you handle his development?

With a year of college I would give him 5 starts in A ball and assess. If he is dominating, move to AA. 5 starts and assess. His stuff isn't ready enough for me and I would like to see it move toward his potential. He's 18 with only 40 something innings of stats and I would need to see more.

I agree with James' approach. Put him in A after the draft. Let him get some starts there and work him up to AA at some point during the season.

Depending on where the team and he is, look at either AAA to start next season or in Brooklyn if that's where you want/need him.

Yep. Put him in A ball and let the Liberty destroy him.

I agree with Chad, take your time and let him build up those pitches slightly and build confidence in the minor leagues. This season you’re probably not gonna make the playoffs so no need to have him shoehorned into the majors too early. That’s kind of my plan for Rusty Miller for example.

I wouldn't risk putting him in the lab since that carries the potential of a disastrous result. But there's no reason for him to pitch for Brooklyn before May 1st, 2060.

I'm never putting a good pitcher in the lab again for anything major after breaking my pitcher.

But I'm with Chad. Take your time, he's not going to make you a contender immediately.
