Cairo struggled through the week, especially in their three game series against the Athens Fighting Centaurs. Athens completed a sweep 7-3, 4-3, 7-6. The Pharaohs also won the final fame of their series against Jerusalem and split two games against London. Miguel Hernandez (.389, 1 HR, 7 RBI) and Santiago Duran (.278, 1 HR, 3 RBI) did all that they could offensively. The pitching staff struggled throughout the week and has been having some trouble lately, especially since the injury to Guruvayur Vashisth.
Due to the pitching struggles, the team is making adjustments to their staff going forward. Cairo has been using a 6-man rotation, but will be changing that to a 5-man group now. EwungaGoiba Ghera will be moving to the bullpen after struggling through his first two starts at the big league level. GM Nathan Garrison is trying to find answers for the pitching struggles without having to go outside of the organization but may decide to go that way if it becomes necessary.
