The Jackrabbits regressed in August and September, posting an anemic 18-36 in those months, offsetting what was initially a very bright 2052 season. But given that their GM is alive and healed, and their felon former manager is behind bars, Edmonton still has a lot to be thankful for in 2052.

Financially, 2052 was a solid success for the Jackrabbits. With popular player signings and a return to competitive baseball before the All-Star break, ticket sales surged and team attendance increased by almost 50% over 2051. The team turned a solid profit, and it's anticipated that another $10 million could be added to the budget for 2053. As of this writing, only $58.1 million in salary is committed in 2053, so the Jackrabbits again will have a lot of options to find value in free agency.

The Jackrabbits' lone All-Star was surprising young LF Bhumimitra "Sandslash" Keshab. A possible Diamond Glove winner in left field, he'll continue to be an important piece for the Jackrabbits to build around.

There are a number of veteran players who struggled at times this year and will look to rebound in 2053. Catcher Alberto Rodriguez hit a career-worst .214. 1B/LF/RF Ricardo Mendoza also hit a low .258 and battled injuries. 3B Manny "Baby Driver" Collazo and 1B Dylan "Dimples" Malloch also both have room to improve and expect to post better numbers in 2053.

On the pitching side, newcomer Chris "The Wolf" Moran anchored the staff with a 3.19 ERA, while incumbent Nicollo Destefani totally fell apart with a 3-14 record and a 6.04 ERA. Closer Joel Ottoboni recorded 39 saves with less than extraordinary stuff and may or may not be back next year. The Jackrabbits don't have a great staff to work with, but it's enough to keep them treading water during this rebuild.

"The scouts and I are very much looking forward to this offseason," proclaimed GM Mike Bauer. "There's a lot of talent that will be available in 2053 and we should have sufficient financial flexibility. We have some solid core players to build around that I trust. This thing is going to take time, and it did suck that we struggled so much in August and September, but we still finished 6 wins better than 2051. We'll get there."
