Slugger Shavings 2052.2 - Welcome to the Show Mr. Dennis

With the Sluggers off to a disappointing 10-14 start, GM BP put his thinking cap on and poured over all the relevant data. He also visited the clubhouse to see what the players thought. It was clear that the Makin Bin Isma'il experiment needed to end.

"He's an a$%hole!" remarked more than one Slugger. Indeed, BP noticed a history of personality issues in the player's file. Most importantly though, he was clearly the worst pitcher so far in the young season, and that is in addition to a poor winless showing in his first call-up last year. Perhaps it was the humiliation of relieving instead of starting. But most that know the Iraqi pitcher think it's just his lack of emotional intelligence.

Despite being the #87 prospect in the BBA, and a part of the trade that saw Theo Bourges go to Nashville, he was placed on waivers.

This allowed space to call up Glenn Dennis, the Sluggers' first-round pick in 2047. BP praised the young left-handed reliever, "His stuff is game-changing, but he will have to work hard. That includes both his mind and body."

While reports of Bin Isma'il note a lack of emotional intelligence, word on Dennis is that he lacks the traditional kind of intelligence. When asked in his opening press conference whether he was playing with a full deck, he innocently replied, "Oh, no sir, I don't play cards."

Though the average IQ of the team appears to have dropped, fans are hoping the team's winning percentage does the opposite.
