Dugout Dirt 46.02 - Jacksonville Signs Mammoth Deal with David Simpson

If there were any doubts on the Canes trying to land a superstar, those questions were answered when Jacksonville signed a 6 year/$151M deal with outfielder David Simpson. It is expected that Simpson will be grouped with center-fielder Omer Dijkstra and left-fielder Julio Uribe.

Simpson brings with him 264 career homers over his 7 year career including a 48 homer/132 RBI output along with a .342 batting average.

Fans were estatic at the initial news and the Homer Simpson t-shirts with the #24 on them are being bought by the hundreds.
