2044-00003: Talons Grandiose Plans for Another Series of Season Preview Articles are Dashed by Well-Meaning Fellow GM
Phoenix, AZ--
Although its been quite a while since we've seen it happen, not too long ago there used to be a tradition in Phoenix. Eschewing the repeated calls by League officials to write previews of other teams, the Talons insisted on writing their own preview. And, as had been stated by the team many times in the past, the myriad points received for as many as a dozen articles about their own team would dwarf the measly 6 points handed out by PPT god Ron Collins for previewing a stranger's team.
As has been stated, it's been a while since this has actually happened. But word from the Talons front office was that this season, the club was planning on reviving the Talons Season Preview Series, giving the league a mostly unwanted look into the franchise on a position-by-position basis. As many as 20 to 24 points would then be deposited in the Talons PPT coffers, meeting the TN minimum and obviating the franchise from any further forum participation.
But now, its all for naught.
"Welp, someone gone and done did it," said David Frum, head intern at the Talons Electronic Media And Forum Posting Department. "Every spring, we watch and wait, hoping that no one takes the Talons in the ol' Preview sign up thread. But the Charlotte GM, as of last night, commented that a Talons preview is on the way. Thereby gaining them six coveted points, and leaving us with none. Oh well, I guess we'll just shelve our plans until next season. Unless of course someone takes the Talons again. I hope they don't...." Frum said.
So why don't the Talons just play along and preview another team, maybe even the one that is previewing them? "Oh no, I couldn't do that," Frum said flatly. "I have no idea what their plans are for their franchise. I could say that so-and-so is the 5th starter, and player X is the backup shortstop and be totally, absolutely wrong. How am I supposed to know how they run their team? It's just not worth it," he concluded.

With Ron already previewing the Cougars, I thought picking Phoenix would be a good idea so there didnt have to be that awkward, "will he or wont he do me."
Feel free to get those 6 TNs done my tearing apart my preview though Sean, there should be plenty there.
How about next year, we sign up for each other's team, write one for our own team, PM it to the other guy, and then they get to post it as their own?
