New Management Getting Right to Work
July 21, 2043
In with the New
Within hours of landing in Valencia, California, the new Valencia Stars General Manager made phone calls to each of the Stars' minor league affiliates: players, coaches, and media teams. The message was the same to everyone: "We are here to etch out a plan to build a well-oiled machine that develops to win at every level."
After a somber, mutual departure between the team and GM Lee Honigsfeld, who is exploring his booming ventures away from the field, the Stars are opening the door to a first-time BBA GM who's latest team was on the rise in the UMEBA, an up-and-coming league in the middle east. GM Dillon Lowery is now walking through that door into the BBA, and into California's busy market of baseball.
When asked about what this move means to him, Lowery responded, "It's such a great feeling. The BBA is what the world looks up to. But don't get me wrong, I love the UMEBA and everything about that league. It's in great hands, and the talent is as good as ever... and to be honest, I was actually trying to find some loopholes to see if I could somehow bring some with me."
The Plan
"It's going to take some time. It's a whole new organization that I need to assess from the ground up. I have to make sure this machine is running as fluidly as we can get it. We want everyone who comes into this organization to know that we have everything in place to get them to the bigs. It's up to them to work hard and get there." Lowery explained his plan at the introductory press conference.
"The first few phone calls are going to be just getting to know everyone. I'll be flying out to each complex to watch and learn." Lowery's attitude then took a serious turn, "Then the next phone calls are the tough ones. The ones where we have to make hard decisions."
Rumors are swirling already with the knowledge that Lowery has a reputation for trading stars to build farm systems. LF Ramon 'Waco' Pagan is a big name that is being tossed around.
The Goals
The Valencia Stars is a historic, proud franchise and Lowery has made it known that he wants to learn the history and make some changes to the media department to honor the history of the team. Then, according to Lowery, the goal is to have everyone know they can contribute to the long history and make a contribution to be part of it moving forward. "If we have something in place that motivates everyone that they can be on a plaque next to a name like Jason Dunn, then we are on the right track."
Further, Lowery confirmed he has seen the fan-art and the ideas floating on the internet about the branding of the Valencia squad. "I don't want to come in here and change everything. This place has a history, but we will assess what we can do to don the new era in the first year or two."

Re: New Management Getting Right to Work
You could do with sorting your short season minors out too. Four pitchers on a roster is not really good enough

Aww, c’mon. I’m gonna miss those those 26-6 wins over Stillwater ...
At least we’ve still got Port Au Prince!
