Re: Maps
The spreadsheet I made is a google Doc that only needs some updating once we iron out where exactly all the teams are. It'd be pretty easy to then look at the maps and break things up regionally if we wanted. Already we can see a concentration of teams in the upper Midwest, out in southwest desert/California area, and a smattering of teams in the southeast/gulf coast area.recte44 wrote:I can tackle this.Fat Nige wrote:~Perhaps we could use this expansion time as an excuse to sort out the minors? Or at least do one level a year?
Oh and for us non-US types, would it be possible to label or provide some sort of key please as I haven't a clue where half the teams are?
A lot of people wouldnt even have to change much. Just some rearranging of which teams are at which league level and maybe a few new teams to get rid of some of the multiples.

Re: Maps
Thanks Matt for volunteering to clear up US geography for me. I would be open to shuffling my minors around if it makes the overall picture clearer

Re: Maps
i was going to do the same, especially with the move to the opposite coast. I will wait and see how it shakes out though, and try to fill in some gaps while also making it geographically make sense for my franchise.RonCo wrote:I'm planning to mess with my minors at some point. Re: Maps
I like all of these ideas. Last season I moved my A team from Newark(NJ?) to Twin Falls Idaho because it was in a division with Pahrump, Billings, Boulder, and Lake City and Idaho didn't have a single team on any level. Come to think of it, I almost picked Boise but thought it was too big for such a low level.
I'm open to helping out with some basic jersey and logos if we are doing mass rebranding. The last league I was in I did the entire International feeder leagues and recreated real Japanese HS and Col uniforms, it was quite fun.

im thinking i might do the big reveal (and post the associated article) live on a post-Landis AFBI for some live takes....bschr682 wrote:Here is a map of all the BBA cities in their glory. Pretty interesting to see the giant hole in the middle of the continent. Especially if you consider Birmingham moved to San Antonio not long ago, Mexico City is rather new, and Boise/Wichita arent even functioning yet.

Re: Maps
That would be good, and perhaps you could suggest some nice places for Sluggers minors to move to if they need a move? (and not to hell lol )

Re: Maps
To me it sounds like there might be enough support to perhaps have a one-time "free" movement of minor league teams as well as rebranding. Or maybe to be a little more fair for some that dont want/need to move their teams to charge 10 PPs but you get unlimited moves for your minors instead of 10 for each? Just throwing it out there.....

Re: Maps
What do you guys mean, "sort out the minors"?
I'm not moving my minor league teams just to make a map look pretty or to shorten fake minor league bus trips. Sheesh.

Re: Maps
Did we ever get these redone maps Brett? It would be incredible for us Brits that have more idea about African Beetle footprints than the distance or placings of teams in the entire BBA universe

I could never find any mention of a home city for Carolina, so a couple of seasons ago I arbitrarily put them in Cape Hatteras, N.C., for the purposes of team news dispatches.bschr682 wrote: ↑Sun May 13, 2018 1:52 pmOkay so this is AAA. The Rupert Horn Memorial League. I need some help as I do no have commish access and cannot look in the team edit section to determine the actual cities these teams are in so this is a rough draft for now.
Exact cities(or which state they are in) needed - Gotham? Clash City? Ashland? Carolina? Death Valley? Missouri? New Jersey? Brooks?

You're going to be so disappointed when you find out it's actually Carolina, West Virginia, the hometown of Nick Saban.HoosierVic wrote: ↑Mon Jun 15, 2020 3:23 pmI could never find any mention of a home city for Carolina, so a couple of seasons ago I arbitrarily put them in Cape Hatteras, N.C., for the purposes of team news dispatches.
