As part of an on-going effort to keep you Wolves fans informed, each month we will check in with the prospects down on the farm. With April under our belts lets take a look...

AAA - South Bend (19-13) - Currently sitting in 2nd place - 1GB

Roberto Garcia - The 23yo has taken his demotion from the BBA down to AAA pretty well. For the month of April he started 6 games for South Bend. In 39.1 IP he's only allowed 6 ER, 1HR, while striking out 31 and walking 13. His ERA is a minuscule 1.37 and has a FIP of 3.18. If he can continue with these good numbers there is a chance he might get called up for some spot duty during the season with the state the Wolves pitching staff is this season.

Sam "Don't call me Robo" Cop - The 19yo LF is making his way up through the Wovles MiLB at a pretty good clip. He went from SA to AA last year, and has put up some good numbers early on for South Bend. Leading the team in several offensive categories. In the month of April he had a slash of .359/.398/.511. He keeps this up and he could see some time with the club come roster expansion time.

AA - Burlington Big Eyed Fish (18-14) - Currently sitting in 2nd place 5GB

SP Juan Reys - The 24yo has turned in a good April for the Fish. He has become the bell cow for the staff posting 44.1 IP with an ERA of 3.25. He is still needs to work on his BB/K ratio as hes allowed 28k vs 16BB. At 24 and only being at AA, he needs to show ownership that he can make the transition to AAA by seasons end.

1B - Lyndon Wyatt - At 27yo Wyatt is producing at the AA level, but at 27 he should be farther along in his growth. He has held serve this season leading the Fish in April with a .347/.492/.408. in April. Looking back at his career, he did spend the last 3 years at South Bend. However he was demoted to start the 2041 season to AA. He was lost in the shuffle with a lot of the younger BBA ready talent on that team last year. Since a lot of those kids have been promoted to Madison, this could be his final shot to prove himself in AAA/BBA or Madison may be forced to move on. This will be an interesting story to following over the season.

A - Boulder Crush (16-16) - Currently sitting in 3rd place 6GB

RP - Kevin Underwood - This 19yo has had a nice April posting posting a sub 1 era over 11.1 IP out of the bullpen. This is his 2nd season in Boulder (not an each place to pitch with the altitude), but he has been able to bring his ERA down vs his 10 games from last year. In 10 games between the two seasons hes gone from a 4.11 ERA down to a 2.84 (Posting a 0.79) ERA though his first 8 appearances.

1B/RF - Gonzalo Leon - After starting the year in AA this 19yo struggled at the plate and was quickly demoted to A to get his swing corrected. It has worked as in 12 Games at AA he had a .163/.280/.349 slash. After being moved to A he has responded well posting a .367/377/.817 in 15 Games. Let keep an eye on his progress over the season to see if he continues to trend upward and can get moved back up to AA by seasons end.
