Montreal builds Stadium 2041.1

Post by handaspencer » Thu Dec 12, 2019 12:12 pm

Montreal has released plans today to build a brand new stadium for the 2041 season. Montreal had one of the original stadiums in the BBA and badly needed upgraded. Owner John Percolo said we have been working for a few seasons to make this possible and getting ourselves financially responsible again and allow us to make this investment. Montreal will only need 4 million dollars in a loan and we are proud of that. We are excited the fans of Montreal will have baseball for decades to come.

This stadium will be a retractable stadium with seating for 45k but it will have artificial turf as its surface which is a little different for a new stadium. With the weather in Montreal many questioned why would they invest in a retractable stadium but there will be a few nice weather days especially during the summer months. We are hoping the opportunity to play baseball outside in Montreal will be attractive for the fan base and will draw large crowds. This stadium will be considered a neutral park but friendly to triples. We decided as an organization with so many teams having parks that favors pitchers or hitters we wanted to be a little different and go more neutral.

Below are the park factors in this stadium

.997 avg. LHB
1.001 avg RHB
1.000 doubles
1.216 triples
1.001 HR LHB
1.015 HR RHB

Park Dimensions
LF 322 ft wall 17'
LF 345 ft wall 17'
LCF 375 ft wall 17'
CF 392 ft wall 11'
RCF 395 ft wall 11'
Right 352 ft wall 11'
Right 322 ft wall 11'

Montreal has been struggling for the last 4 seasons especially under the control of GM Spencer. But the organization made a commitment to rebuilding this organization and part of that rebuild was to upgrade the facilities along with the talent within the organization. We feel like we have a lot positives going for us and we are happy where we are in this rebuild. We are hoping this stadium will increase attendance and more importantly we are hoping to start winning baseball games in Montreal again.

P.S.- I apologize I know that I should include pictures of this stadium but I can't figure out how lol.

minor correction, but the max for any 1 category is 1.200, so you will have to drop triples a smidge. Interesting idea though with designing it for gap.

I have adjusted the factors to be legal

.995 avg LHB
1.001 avg RHB
1.030 doubles
1.200 triples
.995 HR LHB
1.000 HR RHB

I wish the triples was not so high I wanted neutral across the board but with this altitude in Montreal I can't find a sweet spot.
