There are just some things your owner doesn’t need to know.HoosierVic wrote: ↑Tue Nov 12, 2019 3:13 pmI'm hurt you didn't mention my offer of Lorenzen straight up for French. Were you afraid he'd want to sweeten the pot? He's up to .188!
I'm 40 and got my ass handed to me by a guy in his 60s a few weeks ago. Granted, that guy used to be on the tour. Also granted, that was in the late 70s and early 80s.handaspencer wrote: ↑Tue Nov 12, 2019 2:43 pmMontreal’s owner is 70 years old Joe and your owner is 52. If my owner beats you in golf you might want to consider switching to the frick and just giving up. I heard Shoeless enjoyed your competition.
I've only played one of those courses...7teen wrote: ↑Wed Nov 13, 2019 10:20 amI'm 40 and got my ass handed to me by a guy in his 60s a few weeks ago. Granted, that guy used to be on the tour. Also granted, that was in the late 70s and early 80s.
It was also a USGA 4-ball qualifier in which his partner was only worth about $35 million and a member at Augusta, Pine Valley, and Valhalla. Also granted, he was in his 60s. And granted, he beat my ass too.
Alan Fadel was his name. Supposedly spent a few years on tour and got his amateur status back later in the 80s.
That's a heck of a tandem! I miss playing in USGA and SCGA (Southern California) events.7teen wrote: ↑Wed Nov 13, 2019 1:23 pmAlan Fadel was his name. Supposedly spent a few years on tour and got his amateur status back later in the 80s.
His partner was David Novak. One of the creators of the Yum! Company.
I’m scared to ask, but which one have you played? Best I’ve played is Kiawah Ocean Course. Played it about 3 years before they hosted the PGA that Rory won.
hahah I still recall when I played Kiawah about 14 years ago. I insisted to play the tips. Told myself if I ever played a PGA caliber course I was playing it like the pros. I went par-par to start and told myself this was easy. Finished by shooting a 96.HoosierVic wrote: ↑Wed Nov 13, 2019 4:52 pmOh, big deal. I had a 74 at Pine Valley once. Of course, then they insisted I play the second hole ...
