Clearly, the only review possible for Brewstopocene Reviewed is ... 5 stars.
Outstanding, Doug. I’m already pining for episode 2.

Re: Brewstopocene Reviewed, S1:E1 Nicknames and Compensation Picks
Thank you all for the encouraging words. In full disclosure, I completely ripped off this format from one of my favorite podcasts, "Anthropocene Reviewed". It made creating the podcast much easier as all I needed to do was write the script and record myself reading it.
Thanks again.
Thanks again.

Re: Brewstopocene Reviewed, S1:E1 Nicknames and Compensation Picks
I don't mind comp picks. I just think we have pretty low standards for them. I'd be fine with like the Top 10% of free agents getting a pick and that's it. Maybe even only 5%. I'm not sure what percentage we use now but it has to be 20+% at least.

Re: Brewstopocene Reviewed, S1:E1 Nicknames and Compensation Picks
If comp picks are an issue than surely intl FAs are as well. Only large money market teams can acquire them and in some cases they are even better than players in the draft. Personally I like the status quo, there’s no doubt that going from worst to first is a hard battle and there are probably too many dynasty teams.

We actually tweaked the quality of IFAs down a few years ago (as well as the number of useful players who were random signings).crobillard wrote: ↑Sat Sep 28, 2019 7:22 amIf comp picks are an issue than surely intl FAs are as well. Re: Brewstopocene Reviewed, S1:E1 Nicknames and Compensation Picks
Ah, that's good. As long as we are consistent in our logic than I'm on board. I'd prefer more tools to manage than less, but if we're trying to curb the dynastic cycle of super teams in the BBA I think these moves make a lot of sense. How have the results been since we turned down the IFAs? Any good ones since?usnspecialist wrote: ↑Sat Sep 28, 2019 8:06 amWe actually tweaked the quality of IFAs down a few years ago (as well as the number of useful players who were random signings).crobillard wrote: ↑Sat Sep 28, 2019 7:22 amIf comp picks are an issue than surely intl FAs are as well. With you, maybe look at raising the WAR requirements.
