Beirut Cedars 2039 Preseason News

Post by elkcat » Fri Jun 21, 2019 12:08 am

Good morning. My name is Justin known as Elkcat. As the new GM of The Beirut Cedars I am pleased to announce my hiring. With the trials of a poor season put behind us, the team is at a time of great opportunity to build from the ground up.

Known for patience, opportunity and instruction, expect the Elkcat Cedars to build from within.

It would be premature to comment on my excitement for any player or what our lineup or roster will look like as we're currently evaluating our entire organization and the level of competition. We look forward to a great spring training.

On my horizon: Cracker Jack with pistachios instead of peanuts.

Focusing on snack food as a first priority is probably the right call ...

I was planning to build from within also. When I looked within, I found it to be quite barren. The excitement of the UMEBA will be to supply the pantry with some serviceable goods for the future. It’s a great time to be a part of it all.

Hmmm, I guess I could spend some PP to make my stars into disruptive messes no one would want.

Scavenge the BBA cast offs like a vulture circling a dying animal.

The BBA's wannabe's/has been's are the UMEBA future All Stars....

After the 1st week of the season when all the BBA rosters have to cut players to make roster sizes... Blood in the water.

Thanks. Oh, I'm waiting. I'm in your waiver wires waiting for you to float me one for that 40man spot you really need...

I really like how everyone cares and is paying attention. I'm excited. Will make polishing this turd into a nicer turd with pistachios rewarding.

Going to the Brewer game tomorrow night. Lorenzo Cain Superhero Bobble. Maybe it'll be good luck.

Am I doing something wrong? I haven't seen a player on waivers yet and no free agents that might play will talk to me.

I have 8 guys on waivers. The free agent thing is normal. As an independent league a lot of players don’t want to play here.

Don’t think I’d relish moving to Beruit either
