as I take office today as the new gm of this team one thing will be aparrant . The lackluster lazy, non producing past of this ball club will no longer be the norm. 69-93 is far from acceptable!, in only 3 of the 7 months did we have an above .500 win/loss ratio, and our best pitcher had a 4.47 era, now be that as it may we currently have a payroll of 22.4 and available cap space of 21.15 and 12.5 available for free agents, im taking this time to al;so announce we have no intention of going foreward with catcher Lusi Miguel Carrillo ( .177 avg with a sub .600 ops) and also shortstop juan Rodriguez
this team will be known for playing SOLID fundamental baseball and getting on base. as far as the financial side goes we will no longer foster contracts to players to just fill a slot , if performance dosent justify the deal a move will be made, EVERY PLAYER WILL EARN HIS PLACE ON A DAY TOI DAY BASIS . the people of Istanbul deserve a team worth the 30.00 ticket price !. Fernando Gonzalez (ss) and (sp) Julio Gonzalez from AAA will be getting a chance during spring training to earn starting spots with us , should they perform we will then analyze a potential deal

I may or may not have had both carrillo AND rodriguez on my roster within the last few years. Believe it or not, carrillo was a big splashy deadline acquisition I made in a bid to get me a title (and he did).
