Sim 8 Recap 2038-10

Post by Edward Murphy » Sun Apr 21, 2019 9:29 am

Going 3 -3 in this sim, starts to put the Kernels on the right track. Kernels took 2 from Long Beach Surfers and avoided a sweep with the San Fernando Bears. Manager Bill Welsh, recapped the win against the Bears “this was an ugly win, no it was a very ugly win. We did everything wrong not to win the game. Giving up 9 runs in the first 5 innings and making 4 errors put us in a deep hole from the start. The players didn’t get down on themselves, then in the bottom of the seventh the come back started with 5 runs and continued into the eighth tying the game up. Mario Villarreal and Abel van Gastel came in, in relief and shutdown the Bears bats allowing only 1 hit in next 5.2 innings. Then in bottom of the twelfth, lighting struck when Aloysius Gonzaga tagged a walk off home run giving the Kernels the10 - 9 win.” The Bears went on to win the next two games 5 1 and 5 – 3.

Agreed- the contract is starting to look like a bit of an albatross.
