Do we really have 7 hours on the draft clock or is that a mistake?

Took Wilkinson #2. Was tempted by the 10mil stud, but I feel like for way less money I can get a really solid career out of Wilkinson and still have money to spend on the rest.

Recte, in the future when a pick is messed up... You can go in as admin and edit those picks. So I guess I was auto'd somehow? I can just tell you my pick and you can replace in S+ and not have to clear everything.

Too little too late, but put it in the knowledge base.

that was a tough pick

hedged my bets in the end and went with the more developed batter who still had an excellent upside

tempted by some undeveloped arms though

I definitely would have gone with Gouzzie if he was available at my pick.

I considered him at #1. I wasn't confident in his ability to stick at SS though. Great pick at #10.

Shit.... I'm at work with no Stats+ access nor game access and have a double header tonight in another state.

Hopefully you fellas ahead of me drag your feet so I can check out the contract demands and signability of a few of these guys late tonight.

If my budget wasn't so restraining right now, I probably would have gone with Gouzzie. But I like my pick, one of the more developed guys in the draft.

Yeah he'll move quick. Shouldn't kill you in the corners. Solid pick that should hit.

I had hoped to land the man with the golden arm with the first pick ('ole Don Smith) but alas I ended up Felix Roman, CF, who I had at 3/4, so I'm pretty happy with that. Smith I had #1; it's just hard to find that kind of talent/potential.

I agree. On paper he looks like the second coming of Steve Nebraska. If that holds true the $10 million ends up being chump change.

And, I will just throw this out there. If Des Moines wants to trade Don Smith, Boise will send the $12M that it takes to sign him plus negotiate a fair return outside of the cash. I don't know at what point drafted players can be traded in this league, but if his arm hasn't fallen off, Boise would love to take a shot at him!

GM Spencer has arrived in the office finalizing his board. Rumors have circulated he holds 2 players higher than others and is hoping they are still on the board when Montreal picks shortly.

If anyone wants to PM me the in-game demands/signability for:

Pedro Guzman
Ernesto Souza
Manobu Shimizu
Pedro Bustamante
Marvin Ishworth

I can probably keep from holding the draft up too much. I know signaiblity is different for each team but I'll go with it. If not, it'll be late tonight before I can pick.

No Stats+ for me at work, either, so I'll be holding it up once it gets to me, too. I say don't rush, personally. We all know rounds 5-20 are going to be done in 1 hour like usual so we'll be finished the draft in plenty of time.

Wasn’t planning on drafting a SP, but couldn’t pass up the lefty. There will still be some good bat I can draft with my supplemental pick

Yeah, everyone I want is getting picked before me. I suppose that provides me some assurance that I am valuing players correctly. I would have much preferred Ihara over Donadoni, but I think he'll turn out alright.
