Valencia Stars: 15-34 (.279) #4

The Stars keep falling with out many wins for this young team. The pitching is awful as the starters team ERA is 6.39 with the bullpen at 5.49 ERA. Your not going to win many games allowing so many runs. The Stars have scored 229 runs which is 7th over all, but the pitching has allowed 305 runs and that's 15th over all, last in the Frick league.

SP/RP Simón Bautista
Injured (Torn flexor tendon (elbow) and will miss the rest of the season. Bautista was 0-3 with a 5.40 ERA. The 22 year old has pitched 35 innings, yielded 44 hits, fanned 27 and has a 5.40 ERA. Bautista main roll in the future is a relif pitcher but the Stars needed some extra help in the rotation and Bautista started 5 games before the injury. Hopefully Bautista will be back in the spring 2038.

P Luis Salinas will miss the remainder of the season as he fractured his arm. Salinas only 22 was looking forward to this season to log in innings as a starter or mid relief and continue to develope. Salinas now has to wait for the 2038 season. Salinas was 2-3 with a 6.31 ERA.

The Stars brought up Javier Castro a hard throwing 23 year old from Havana. In 2035 Castro looked great in his first full year with the Stars. Castro went 3-5 in 68 innings, with 63 K's. Then the injury bug hit Castro, as he Injured (Torn labrum (Shoulder), and missed all of 2036. Hopefully has can get back to normal the rest of 2037.

LF Frank Mahaffey signed a 3-year contract extension worth a total of $25,050,000. Mahaffey 25, has a career batting average of .262 with 116 homeruns and 300 RBI'S...Mahaffey if he hits 30 plus homers it will give hime 4 years in a roll at 30 plus.

Castro's return should help. "5" MOV is angsty, but the rest is good and, at 23, he should get better.
