In a year that was expected to be dominated by the much hyped offense, injuries and average performances meant that the best performances from the Bears this year came from the mound. The splashy acquisition of Freddy Delgado (10 - 11, 4.40 ERA, 1.30 WHIP, 198 K) from the New Orleans Crawdads stole all of the attention early in the year, but as the season wore on it became very clear that Feliciano Rafael (15 - 10, 3.38 ERA, 1.18 WHIP, 246 K) and Ernie Kinney (20 - 9, 3.76 ERA, 1.27 WHIP, 178 K) had separated themselves, and established a 1-2 punch that is the envy of most in the league. At 23 years old Rafael has already established himself as a bona-fide ace and true #1 starter in this league, while Kinney brings a leadership presence to the clubhouse and has earned a reputation as a crafty lefty on the mound who more than holds his own with his more talented teammate.

Those two are a large part of the success of the Bears this year. Rafael will be in the Nebraska mix for the next several years.

Id say Rafael has the edge between the two on your team. Though Kinney being the only 20-game winner will earn him some votes (I know wins shouldn't matter but it does IMO)
Walter and Ramos will be the other main guys. Walter's 9.6 WAR will be hard to ignore despite a pedestrian 16-13 record.

agreed when it comes to my team, and I think the top will end up being more of blowout than it should be.7teen wrote: ↑Sun Nov 11, 2018 10:42 amId say Rafael has the edge between the two on your team.
