PPT Bonus Points Awarded (CAL/MEX)
After consideration and taking too long getting things lost in the shuffle of various discussions, I want to take this moment to announce that I've taken it upon myself to award three bonus points to California and Mexico City (effective next year). This is in return for the effort they clearly put in to make a podcast last season. The podcast ran into technical difficulties, so did not result in a full product, yet took considerable preparation and effort. As such, providing partial points seems like a practical step that will encourage participation.
You can find their additional points in the "bonus points" section of the spreadsheet (which I've updated as of this moment without forum posting included--everything will be updated again for the official opening day count).
NOTE: THERE ARE ONLY TWO MORE DAYS LEFT IN THE OPEN SEASON TO SPEND POINTS.

I didn't look at this, but can I give mine to Fred, so he gets full credit. He did everything he was supposed to. I didn't I don't really want them.

Here's me throwing my weight around by playing the Recte card....
Unless the bossman tells me I'm getting too big for my danged britches, my call here is that Ted gets as much credit for the work as Fred. I've been on the editing side. It know what a pain it can be.
I know that the fate of the civilized world sits on my shoulders on this call, but that's where I'm at.

I'll abide by whatever decision, but I don't like the precedent set by giving me points. (Fred is fine.)
Here's the thing. What then is the difference between me having tech problems and not getting this podcast done, and someone being unable to do a team news or two because of needing a new computer (The old one took a dump)? It's not exactly the same, bu the line is less blurry than someone (Fred) who actually did everything they were supposed to do (research and record a podcast) and someone who did not (Me, research, record, edit, and export a podcast). Yes we didn't take on the same amount of workload, but I didn't complete the tasks I signed up for, tech problems aside. Tech problems happen. I made a choice to no complete my initial commitment because after 5+ hours I was only 1/3rd the way through the re-record, and it was just too much work to be worth it. Yeah, it stinks for me. But that's the choice I made. Fred shouldn't suffer for that. But if I was halfway through a league feature and lost it, I wouldn't ask for points because I didn't submit anything.
Multiple person efforts are different, because someone is depending on another person to complete a task. Fred did, I didn't. Anyway, that's my two cents. If I end with these points, I'll just find a creative way to waste them.

Don't be a martyr, Ted, take the points. The fact that you started re-recording your half of the audio is evidence enough that you put the work in. If you're worried about rewarding my prep, invite me back for another go around.
