I got 5 guys on the ballot this year. Seems like a lot for me.

Done, sorry. Looked at this during awards voting and checked it off the mental list at that point.

Based on this thinking, I'm going to be quite interested in the ballot listing this year. At some level, when you have a big enough block to stifle induction to only Level 1 kind of guys (to use @7teen's old terminology) it probably lowers the motivation to spend much time thinking about voting. It becomes easier to just vote for them all and avoid a PPT penalty. :)

That said, if you're still trying to decide, I'll jog your sword arm a bit:

I'm still in favor of a veterans committee because of the transitional nature of GMs. GM thinking and blocks change over time due to who is in the league and when.

I’ve just accepted that we’ve got a bunch of small hall guys so classes will be small for a little longer. But soon the flood gates will open for the mega draft players.

I submitted a blank ballot yesterday. Mostly because I don't understand how the actual mechanism of HOF voting works. It's not obvious, like for the other voting.

I voted earlier today. Was having trouble voting yesterday as I didn't realize StatsPlus had logged me out. So I voted not knowing much about these players other than the stats before me but I tried vote as accurately as I could. While I am honored to vote, as a new GM I think I am inclined to agree with @Trebro that a veterans committee might better serve the HOF voting.

We like everyone to vote because we want you to be aware of the history. There are so many threads you can go down a rabbit hole on this.

Mostly I'd say just do your best and have fun learning about the league.

I voted and the website said my ballot was accepted or completed, so I should be good. But it said that last time too.
